Christopher R. DeAngelis

D.O., F.A.C.O.I.

Dr. Christopher DeAngelis was born in Trenton, Michigan. He received his bachelor’s degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, completed premedical studies at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and attended four years of medical school at Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. He then completed a three-year internship and residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Riverside Osteopathic Hospital.

Dr. DeAngelis is board certified in internal medicine and a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists. He stays current and maintains his board certification through ongoing continuing medical education, medical conferences, and reviewing the medical literature.

Dr. DeAngelis and the team at MainStreet Physicians have been nothing but exceptional throughout the many years I’ve been under their care. Don’t be misled by some of the negative reviews—this is a practice that values honesty, professionalism, and patient outcomes above sugarcoating. Dr. DeAngelis tells you the truth, even when it’s hard to hear, and that’s exactly what a good doctor should do. If you're open-minded and actually listen, you’ll realize he genuinely cares and backs it up with a high level of expertise. They’re also ahead of the curve with technology—using systems like MyChart makes it incredibly easy to access test results, review your health history, send messages, manage prescriptions, and book appointments. To those complaining about bedside manner: being direct isn’t the same as being rude. I’d rather have a doctor who’s honest and effective than one who tells me what I want to hear.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been seeing Dr. DeAngelis for about 20 years, I believe, I am turning 43 in 2025. Some of these bad reviews on here, please take with a grain of salt. I kind of feel as if we grew up together in a weird way. Dr. De is an amazing person and doctor. Sure, he may be honest and blunt, but that is what you want from your doctor. Sugar coating doesnt help. Plus he isnt a "pill-pusher" like  other doctors. He takes a look at the whole picture and sees what else can we/he do to solve whichever issue the patient is having. Dr. De is professional, caring, honest, and truthful. Sometimes people get offended due to the truth hurts. However, at the end of the day, you, as a patient, have the option to go see another doctor for a second opinion. He isnt a God, which means he isnt perfect, but I would and have trusted him with my life for over 20 years. His staff, past and present, have always been super friendly and helpful to me. From office/desk staff to the nurses to office manager(s). Dr. DeAngelis and his team are great team. Plus he uses MyChart and cares about technology and innovation to better serve us patients. Which in turn makes things much more efficient when you go to the hospital or other doctors that use the same system. It is a hidden gem of a blessing for sure! I value my time as his patient over the years, sure we have had our disagreements, who doesn't with that much time. Most of the time we end up coming to an understanding because he will educate you if you ask or if it is outside his scope of practice will refer you to someone whom can. Dr. DeAngelis has indirectly saved my life more times than I can count. Everytime I take his advise, I become healthier and even get my medications reduced or able to come off of the meds, so I should probably listen to him more. haha. Dr Deangelis and NP Jennifer has an amazing friendly staff. They don’t make you feel rushed and they take time to answer any questions you may have. Thank you Main Street Physicians 2/17/25- I would also like to add how they went above and beyond to help me find medication that my insurance covered and they never gave up. I know I must’ve got on their nerves because I was getting on my own nerves lol but every message they were empathetic and searching for a solution.
